Health Update: Diagnosis & Portal Peek (Plus Med Info)

on

Hey loves,

Just wanted to hop on with a quick update following my earlier post about the spine clinic visit. I was finally able to log into the patient portal and read through the notes from today’s appointment—and now I have a bit more clarity (and a few more big words) to sit with.

Here are the official diagnoses they gave me:

Lumbar spondylosis

Post-laminectomy syndrome (also known as Failed Back Surgery Syndrome)

Lumbar radiculitis

Cervical spondylosis

To add to the long list already….

Yup. That’s a lot to digest.

Seeing it all written out honestly hit me hard—but also brought some validation. It’s not just pain. It’s not just fatigue. It’s a body that’s been through hell and is still trying to function every day.

I also got confirmation from the portal on the two medications prescribed:- Both of these will help with the mechanical pain and my Fibromyalgia.

Cymbalta (for nerve pain and mood support) – to be taken in the morning

Flexeril (a muscle relaxer) – to be taken at night

I’ll be starting both soon and will share how they affect me—hopefully in good, manageable ways. I’m cautiously optimistic but also realistic about giving my body time to adjust.

One step at a time, one breath at a time.

Thank you all for holding space with me, for sending love, and for reminding me that I don’t have to carry this alone.

More updates soon.

Much love and many blessings,

Mrs. B

Thank you ❤ Much appreciated!!! I wish I could say today was a better day, but now I am dealing with the aftermath of the anxiety and the pain of the exam. Good news is they called the meds in finally so hopefully I can get some relief this evening.
