Let’s make a money bowl to start off the New Year! With the new year here my only resolution has been to post more and embrace my practice out in the open more. So with this in mind I want to share with you all a few things I am going to start using more in my daily practice. From Poppets, to Cinnamon Rituals on the 1st of the month, to other simple DIY things you can do on your own. Simmer Pots, Money Bowls, and anointing oils, there are so many things for me to share with you all.
A poppet can be as simple or as elaborate as you like — it all depends on how much time and effort you want to put into it. You can construct one out of just about any material — cloth, clay, wood, wax. Use your imagination! In some magical traditions, it’s believed that the more work you put into it, and the more complex it is, the stronger your link will be to your goal. Because a poppet is a device for sympathetic magic, all of its components will be symbols of what it is you hope to achieve.
You can do your poppet-making as part of the working itself, or it can be made ahead of time so you can use the poppet later on. Which method you choose is really up to you.

Below I will include the prologue that I just finished for your reading pleasure. I hope that it drums up some interests for you all, and prompts you to want to read more once I have finished it

Picking back up from the gas station we all make our way on to our next destination, Robin reads over the paper and sees it says Civil War Church. According to the story on the paper this was an old church, and sometimes if you come up on the church at night you can see people walking about the church, in the eves of the second floor and hear people talking.
Okay, the next part of the hunt takes place just a couple of miles down from where we were. Amy tells us all that we are headed to something call “Old Green Eyes” apparently this is also another common name or legend in many different places. But what do you expect from a teenager who was bored and wanted to do something different in a small town. This was also at a time when the internet was fairly new, I man for crying out loud we had MapQuest directions. If that does not date things I don’t know what does. So it is no surprise that our leader on this late night haunting hunt did not do her due diligence and research the locations or the legends before we joined her on this venture. Nor did any of us think to do it either, we were bored teenagers looking to do something different and out of the ordinary.
Kitchen witchery is a growing trend within contemporary Paganism. After all, the heart and soul of many contemporary households is the kitchen. Where do the majority of your guests hang out when you host a party at your house? Naturally, the kitchen! In addition, the kitchen has once again become a place where people spend hours rather than minutes due to a declining economy and an increasing number of people making meals from scratch. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that kitchen witchcraft has gained popularity.
The word “rune” simply means “mystery,” “whisper,” or “secret.” It is a system of divination or oracle reading that is used to help answer questions or figure out what’s going on. Stone is the most common material used to make runes, which carry a symbol from the runic alphabet on them.
One of the oldest runic alphabets used on runes is the Germanic alphabet known as “Elder Futhark.” There are many different runic alphabets. The first six of the 24 runes in The Elder Futhark spell out the word “futhark.”
Today we are going to look at something I struggle with as a Neurodivergent person, it is something that for the most part I am not aware that I do, but I have been made aware of it from time to time. Why is that that everyone gets a different version? Sometimes we present a different version of ourselves to people who we interact with, either at work or even in a social setting. Some of us do it for cultural reason, religious reasons, and some even for masking.
A harmless kids toy or a portal into the worlds beyond, that has been the subject of many different debates within the spiritual communities for years. I am sure many of you have had your own experiences that at on time or another involved this board and a planchet. However, what I want to talk to you about is the history of the board itself and the proper usage if you must use one.
