Intro into Jord
Jörð (Old Norse: Jǫrð [ˈjɔrð]; “earth”) is the personification of earth and a goddess in Norse mythology. She is the mother of the thunder god Thor, and a sexual partner of Odin. Her name is often employed in skaldic poetry and kennings as a poetic term for land or earth.

Intro into Kali
Wild, naked, her tongue sticking out—an uncomfortable, feral image of force, bursting sheer power. She wears the most gorgeous jewelry—ornate bracelets and necklaces, and some amazing elephant-shaped earrings. The Witches Burr
The witches burr (also called witch balls, spike balls, and sweet gum balls) has been an integral part American Folk magic and Hoodoo for centuries. They are used as the base for amulets, charms, as alter icons, and for spell work. One look at the rows of sharp spikes says all you need to know. These are for protection magic. Well, Hello! Odin.
As some of my readers know, I started back into my practice slowly. Not really working with any deities at all, then all the sudden there were two that decided to be very loud in demanding my attention and for some time I have worked with Hecate and Freya, they are like bickering sisters at time but help to provide some much needed balance to each other. Jord also, let me know in her subtle yet kind way that she was also looking to be acknowledged. She is my humble Matron. Now with all this Femininity there is someone who has been very insistent that I acknowledge HIS presence lately.

Forced to pause
Oh life, how you are such a funny thing. You have a way of sneaking up on one and bringing everything to a screeching halt. I am sure you have noticed that all my postings abruptly stopped. Shadow Work: What is it and why is it needed in your practice?
The shadow self – sometimes simply called our shadow – is the unconscious part of the brain, which drives a large amount of our behavior.
