Let me tell you about a bunch of kids bored in small town middle Georgia. There was not always a lot to do where we lived, and we tried our hardest to be good kids… well as good as we could be for the most part. So sometimes in our little ways of legal rebellion, we would try to figure out things to do that were pushing the limits. Like most teenagers do, I think it is a right of passage, you push to the limit and some exceed the limit more than they mean to. One night I get a call from a friend. [ Note names are changed] ” Hey, Amy found this cool list of urban legends in our area are you down…….” Totally didn’t let her finish her sentence before I answered. ” YES!!! Just tell us where.” Jasmine giggled and give us directions.

Kitchen Witchery? What is that?
Kitchen witchery is a growing trend within contemporary Paganism. After all, the heart and soul of many contemporary households is the kitchen. Where do the majority of your guests hang out when you host a party at your house? Naturally, the kitchen! In addition, the kitchen has once again become a place where people spend hours rather than minutes due to a declining economy and an increasing number of people making meals from scratch. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that kitchen witchcraft has gained popularity.
Runes: Divination
The word “rune” simply means “mystery,” “whisper,” or “secret.” It is a system of divination or oracle reading that is used to help answer questions or figure out what’s going on. Stone is the most common material used to make runes, which carry a symbol from the runic alphabet on them.
One of the oldest runic alphabets used on runes is the Germanic alphabet known as “Elder Futhark.” There are many different runic alphabets. The first six of the 24 runes in The Elder Futhark spell out the word “futhark.”

A harmless kids toy or a portal into the worlds beyond, that has been the subject of many different debates within the spiritual communities for years. I am sure many of you have had your own experiences that at on time or another involved this board and a planchet. However, what I want to talk to you about is the history of the board itself and the proper usage if you must use one.

The witches burr (also called witch balls, spike balls, and sweet gum balls) has been an integral part American Folk magic and Hoodoo for centuries. They are used as the base for amulets, charms, as alter icons, and for spell work. One look at the rows of sharp spikes says all you need to know. These are for protection magic. They are also used in several others ways and have a litany of properties. But before we look at the different magical uses for witches burr, let’s take a quick trail down biology lane. If you are a practicing witch, you’ll agree that it’s always good to understand as much as you can about any tree, plant, or living thing that you will incorporate into your personal practice or spell workings.
