Personal Experience Story:

On December 22nd 2020 this is what happened:

Okay, so a weird occurrence last night when we were going to bed we heard what sounded like someone bumping into something and making a small groaning noise similar to an ” Oof” . I got up and asked my boys if it was them they said no, my daughter was asleep already and my husband heard the noise too… But that isn’t all. We shrugged it off and fell asleep. I woke up at 12:37 last night to the sound of barking- Three distinct barks. I laid there for a moment, it was not on the show we had fallen asleep to. I looked out the window, nothing. I get up and check on both the kids and the dogs, All asleep.It was just so strange to me, the three distinct barks

After reading the entire day on the 23rd this is what I found:

Acting on her observations, she took the time to explain the intricacies and importance of “dog-speak.” She shared with me how canine language is complex and vital to how dogs communicate their well-being (or otherwise), their views and the status of their community. Embracing her Iroquoian wisdom, I viewed (heard) dog-speak in a whole new light.

Now, every time I hear dogs baying in my awareness – I get quiet. I listen. I realize their speech is an opportunity to gain vital information on the status of my environment (and theirs). Intonation, pitch, guttural inflection, repetitive patterns….they all contribute to the overall message a dog is conveying. If you listen close, you can pick up on their language. It can be a true oracle. Try it sometime.

Which is interesting because right after I heard it and checked around, when I laid back down I said to Hecate ” Mighty Hecate, if there is someone who needs to bring me a message, direct them to my dreams. Thank you for your continued presence around me.”

Now here is what has happened since then:

12/23/2020 That evening after reading and researching I go to bed and fall asleep, I get up several times through out the night, it is a bit of a restless sleep for me this evening. I get up at 4:30 in the morning because I just can’t sleep anymore, but I return to bed around 6:30 in the morning. From here I have three dreams back to back sent from Freya. I know it was her because I spoke her name several times within the dreams themselves. Then right before I wake I see the hound, sitting at my doorstep. It wags at me with enthusiasm. I woke up around 8 am and went about my day, still thinking about the events of the 22nd and now the dreams from earlier in the morning. 

12/24/2020

I go to bed around 10pm after having a normal and uneventful day spiritually. Lots of Kitchen Witchery throughout the week has occurred because I was prepping and celebrating the Solstice, Yule, & Christmas with my family. I fall asleep around 11pm and sleep for an hour before the neighbors start in with fireworks from 12am-2am. Restless sleep again. Finally falling asleep again around 2:30 am I sleep until 3:30 am, this is where my dreams pick up and the messages start coming in very loudly. Hecate appears standing in the crossroad, her hounds see me and run to me sitting at my feet. I lean down and pet them both. I look up to her and she smiles holding a lantern in her hand. She extends her arm out and lights the path to the left. I glance down the path and see someone who has passed away. Someone I was very close to in my younger years. I stand and nod to Hecate. I walk towards the path with the hounds in tow, but they now transform to hounds that are no longer Hecate’s but hounds of my own. I move as though I am  gliding to this person. The smile and embrace me with a hug that is both comforting and heart breaking all at the same time. She smiles at me and then her car appears behind her. “ Let’s go for a ride. “ she says. I hop into the car, music playing, hearts at peace and scenery of home towns pass us by, that we used to drive in our younger years. No words need to be said, she holds my hand and we sit in happy silence. Once the ride is over, we pull back up to the crossroad. I kiss her cheek and embrace her one last time. I wipe a tear off her cheek and whisper “ It’s not goodbye, you know where to find me.” I exit the car and walk back with my hounds in tow. I meet Hecate back at the beginning, her hounds beside her laying at her feet. My own hounds clinging to my sides, their heads touching my hands. I bow my head and say. “ Thank you, Mighty Hecate. I understand. I will happily follow, and accept your gifts if you will accept my own in your service.” She smiles sweetly and nods. 

I wake up. There is a peace that falls around me. 

From 12/24-12/27 I have had many dreams, messages, and people coming into my dreams. This is the most they have visited in years. I feel as though my doorways, my mind, my soul, my chakras are all opened back up. I have always dreamed of those who have passed away but the frequency lately has increased more than ever.
