Foster Spotlight – Meet Ginger, Maple & Marshmallow!

Hi friends! We are fostering this sweet little family for Chattooga County Animal Shelter, in Summerville, Ga. The shelter is currently overcrowded and running out of space, which is why we have about a week to help find these babies safe, loving homes. We are reaching out to all of you to help us share their story and create awareness for their urgent need!

Last Sunday, one week ago from today, we found these gorgeous and loving dogs had been dumped on the side of the road. It was heartbreaking to see them in such a vulnerable situation. We had noticed them for two days and had desperately tried to get the mom to come to us the day before. Despite our efforts, she would not come to my husband at all, making the situation feel even more helpless.

So, the following day, last Sunday, we decided to try again. Determined to reach her, I hopped out of the car, infused with a mix of hope and passion, and began to use my baby talking voice. Suddenly, Momma came running over instantly, and it filled my heart with joy. Her ears perked up, and her tail wagged as she approached, showcasing the spirit and love that was undoubtedly within her.

We took our time to build trust with her and her little ones. The puppies were so curious and playful, capturing our hearts immediately. Every moment spent with them has been a reminder of how resilient and loving animals can be, despite their circumstances. They deserve a chance to experience a world filled with love and care.

Meet the Crew:

Ginger (Momma) – Around 2–3 years old, 20–25 lbs. This girl is the sweetest cuddle bug you’ll ever meet! She loves being a lap baby, knows simple commands, walks well on a leash, and is super smart (like, problem-solving smart ). She would thrive in a home with older kids and where she can be the center of attention.

Marshmallow (Little Man) – 4–5 months old, 5–10 lbs. The absolute sweetest. Marsh loves cuddles, gentle play, and being held like the baby he is. He’ll even let out a tiny howl if he thinks you’ve forgotten about him. Perfect for someone looking for a loyal lap buddy.

Maple (Princess) – 4–5 months old, 5–10 lbs. This little firecracker is full of sass, personality, and zoomies! She loves to play, cuddle, and would thrive with an active family or individual. Maple is best homed separately from her brother and with a submissive dog (or as the only pup). She’s a cuddle bug too once playtime is over.

Breed Guess: German Pinscher/Min Pin mix.

Vetting: We’re working with the shelter to get the puppies their first shots and deworming.

Adoption Note: If you adopt through us, you’ll be responsible for spay/neuter. If you wait for the shelter, they’ll be fixed before adoption—but space is tight and time is short.

There is a $50 fee per animal for their first round of shots and deworming.

If you adopt through us you agree to have them spayed or neutered. If you adopt them once they reach the shelter you will have to wait until the shelter is able to spay and neuter them before being able to take them home.
